First stop was a place to rest up. You better try the Blue Swallow Motel on Route 66, Tucumcari, New Mexico. Good people and good place. Even allowed us to use their place for a back drop for our junk cars. How about them neons!!!!!??????

Then somebody, named Jake took did or did not take a turn that ended up with 15 miles of dirt road. We had a meeting after the deed was done. We talked about )&%$#@!&&^%#$^%#*(>. Soooo, I ain't no genius?

Adrian, Texas says this point is midway between the start and finish of Route 66. You may want this one blown up and put in a frame to hang in your garage, bathroom, office, pool hall, lady cave or jail cell. I can hook you up. Cool pix.

Dirty Horses Asses Cars in Adrian, Texas, at the MidPoint across the street from the Midpoint Cafe.

I know the next picture is also one its side, but I still do not know how to change that. You can still tell this is the

so called "Bent Door"located on a station in Adrian, Texas. The same town as the MidPoint above.

Nothing to do with Route 66 but you gotta see Cadillac Ranch just west of Amarillo.

You will have to ask Brother how he satisfied a youg gal from Arkansas, employed by Haliburton while we at looked the cars.

On the other side of Amarillo near Conway, Tex you will find the Bug Ranch. Not many people will miss the buried Volkswagons at the "Bug Ranch". The place is for sale if you are interested.

Go on into Conway, Tex. and you will find another old station but the shed out back facinated our offical photographer more.

Story is this station at exit 146, I-40, Mclean, Tex was the first Phillips 66 station on Route 66.

I could not get the other Horses Asses out, too cold, but Jess and I went accross the street from our motel in Shamrock, Texas, to the Tower Station and took some pictures. In my opinion the Best landmark on the part of Route 66 we traveled. The cafe was called the U-Drop-Inn.

I am still looking for some pictures of the Blue Swallow Motel in Tumcucari, New Mexico so check back. Better yet go stay there if you ever get a chance. Good people and good place.
