I go a new "SCOOP"! Chuck and Dee Gill were coming back for "Illinoise" (been no noise there since Chuck left) and decided to go through Slater Missouri. It is not a place of great sites but it is the childhood home of Steve McQueen. The King of Cool. Take a look at a few photos.

While Chuck was there he spoke with a resident and found out about a car show in McQueen's honor. I looked around on the net and found the above flyer. Chuck is planning a trip to this run in 2016, but not sure when. The web and the fellow that Chuck spoke with advised that the car show may be delayed or the date changed in the event there is rain. It looks like the show it was moved from April to September in 2015.

This is a sign Chuck tried to get Dee Dee to steal but had to settle for this picture instead.!!!!

Looks like Slater still has a drive-in theater. This would be a better sign to steal.
