Went to Alva, Oklahoma this weekend for the BIG CRUISE AND CAR SHOW, 12TH ANNUAL. Following you will find pictures, comments and general BS.

Ok, you say having a porta-pot at a car show is not unique. Look closer, this is the only place that I have been where the porta-pot contains and ad that says go to the truck and look at the pictures they are taking to see if you wish to buy them. Steve tried to buy pictures of other people, can you believe it????? Only in Oklahoma!!!!???? I did not find any English Royalty around.

We visited some bars, I know, I know that is a surpirse. This was Saturday before church. But, at THE OFFICE in Alva they still have a cigarette machine. They had to alter it to take a special coin because no one carrys $5.00 in quarters. This may not seem special but this machine is older and more unusual than many of the cars on display at the show. Pay a visit to THE OFFICE! Good place.

This is OKLAHOMA they had burn outs and outstanding ones.

Alva goes futher than just burn outs, they bring up a Jet Dragster called Heat Wave which belongs to Wood County Sheriff's office to put on a demonstration.

R.A.C.E. tops off Saturday with the Alva Lions shooting off fireworks from the top of a downtown square building. This is a good show and not for the weak. They have free hamburgers Friday night, Car Art, Car Wrap Demo, a Queen, free Dyno, Crusin, Auto Cross, Burn outs, fireworks, money giveaway, free breakfast Sunday morn, street racing, woa and go, car stereo sound-off, wheelchair and bicycle races. OH, and two Horses' Asses.

R.A. C. E. & Alva did good but did not get all of the people to vote for Jake's 37 while they gave a trophy to Brother's old Nash.

Oh, if anybody cares, Charlie and Lois Modilin brought their 36 Chevy.
